Reports indicate that Google has expanded its search engine functionalities to include blockchain data from various networks like Bitcoin and Ethereum virtual machine networks such as Fantom.

This integration allows users to access transaction details by searching for specific blockchain addresses directly within Google's search engine 'rich' results. Last year, Google introduced this feature for Ethereum, enabling users to query specific public addresses and instantly view wallet balances within search results.

Recently, the company enhanced this feature by incorporating Ethereum Name Service functionality, displaying comprehensive address details, including Ethereum balances and the timestamp of the latest transaction. Trending screenshots on social media revealed that Google supported only three address formats, namely P2PKH, P2SH, and Bech32, with this feature.

However, availability seems inconsistent, with some users reporting that the results didn't appear in search results for them. Additionally, Nick SR, the head of growth for the Fantom Foundation, noted that Google was quietly indexing the network's blockchain data in its search engine and extended support to four other EVM-compatible chains, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism, and Polygon.

This development coincides with Fantom's efforts to enhance its platform with Sonic technology. Fantom Foundation CEO Michael Kong stated that Sonic would be used to create a new shared sequencer for L1 and L2 chains, capable of processing over 180 million daily transactions with sub-second confirmation times, and serve as the foundation to relaunch Fantom as a community-centric brand. Amidst these advancements, Fantom's FTM token has surged by over 110% in the past month, surpassing other major layer1 blockchains like the Solana network.
