Heroes of NFT recently announced a partnership with Axelar to build a next-generation cross-chain metaverse. The Avalanche-based project will leverage Axelar's infrastructure to enable secure and seamless cross-chain interactions. Axelar's focus on secure cross-chain communication aligns well with Heroes of NFT's goals.

Heroes of NFT believes that NFTs, the metaverse, and GameFi need cross-chain compatibility to progress. They argue that gamers no longer want to be confined to a single ecosystem. Because NFTs are unique and cannot be bridged or wrapped like traditional assets, cross-chain interactions are essential.

This collaboration aims to provide a multichain gaming experience with Axelar, which was chosen after evaluating various cross-chain providers. Axelar was identified as the only platform offering permissionless security across chains. As an Avalanche subnet, Heroes of NFT values this security model.

The project will use Axelar to ensure composability and interoperability between its subnet and other ecosystems, including EVM chains like Ethereum, Fantom, Avalanche C-Chain, BNB Chain, Polkadot, Polygon, and Cosmos. Axelar’s General Message Passing will enable Heroes of NFT to develop dApps that can execute functions across multiple chains and send payloads securely, eliminating the need for multisig bridges and asset wrapping.

The GameFi community has welcomed this partnership, indicating a promising future for Heroes of NFT.
