While the official list of approved issuers is still under wraps, Victory Securities, a local investment firm, has revealed its fee structure for these upcoming Bitcoin and Ether ETFs.

These fees offer valuable insights into what investors can expect as the Hong Kong market for crypto ETFs unfolds. For buying into these new funds (primary market), investors can expect fees ranging from 0.5% to 1% of the transaction value, with a minimum fee of $850. However, for seasoned investors looking to trade existing shares on the secondary market, the fees become more manageable, sitting at 0.15% for online transactions and 0.25% for phone orders.

Interestingly, these fees fall within the ballpark of established US offerings for spot Bitcoin ETFs. While some US fees are currently waived, established players like Franklin Templeton have set their fees at 0.19%, with others ranging between 0.20% and 0.90%. Notably, the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) charges a significantly higher fee of 1.5%.

This price transparency from Victory Securities sets the stage for a competitive landscape in Hong Kong's crypto ETF market. Investors will have the opportunity to choose between various options, potentially leading to lower fees in the long run.
