Dubbed "Meta Yonsei," this virtual space replicates the university's Sinchon campus, featuring familiar landmarks like the auditorium and library. It offers students and faculty tiered access to digital resources and designated meeting spots.

Unlike many metaverse platforms, Meta Yonsei restricts access to verified students. While outsiders can explore the virtual campus and its landmarks, certain features and areas are accessible only to registered students. According to a report in Chosun Biz, a local newspaper, students have responded positively to the Meta Yonsei experience.

Typically, metaverse environments tailored to specific communities, such as universities, prioritize social interactions and often serve as digital showcases. However, Meta Yonsei stands out by emphasizing productivity. It integrates tools like team meeting functions, virtual workspaces, video and audio conferencing, and automated annotation and captioning directly into the experience, providing students with practical tools for academic collaboration.
