In July 2022, iCan Entertainment, headquartered in Taiwan, ventured into the Web3 arena through its division, iFA Capital, LTD., and its parent company, aiming to merge art, culture, and cutting-edge technologies. They embarked on blockchain initiatives, focusing on crafting special-edition NFTs and immersive metaverse experiences. Utilizing an AI art generator, they encourage the creation of digital art and employ various Web3 strategies to share Taiwanese culture globally.

iCan made its mark as a pioneer in the gaming sector, selecting The Sandbox as its platform for numerous creative endeavors. One such project is the virtual recreation of the Raohe Night Market, a bustling market in Taiwan.

By establishing this renowned location in the metaverse, iCan successfully replicated and showcased the lively atmosphere of the park on a global scale, leveraging The Sandbox's interactive and multi-dimensional capabilities to present cultural elements in a new digital format.

Jack Hung, part of the iFA producer team, presented their project at The Sandbox Creators Meetup in Taipei. The user-friendly interface of The Sandbox platform, which requires no coding skills, made it the preferred choice for iCan, aligning with their creative team's needs for flexibility and control over their projects.

iCan recently unveiled "Voices of Taiwan" in The Sandbox, earning a nomination in the Cannes Lions Awards under the Metaverse, New Realities, and Emerging Tech categories. This project pioneers cultural immersion in the metaverse by introducing Taiwan's diverse culture and language, including the Hokkien dialect and traditional puppetry, to a global audience.

iCan aims to bridge cultures and facilitate the transition of businesses from traditional to digital platforms within the metaverse. They seek to cultivate a large audience for their Sandbox experiences by collaborating with other companies and hosting local events in Taiwan.

Through its entry into Web3 via The Sandbox, iCan Entertainment showcases the fusion of culture, technology, and innovation with Taiwanese culture on the global stage.
