Despite 2023 being a challenging year for the crypto market, ICP concluded with a 30% increase in developer participation, and its overall cycle burn rate, a metric indicating the economic value generated by the Internet Computer, favored ICP.

The average daily burned cycles surged over the year, with the burn rate projected to triple in 2024. Additionally, the network saw a 67% increase in node providers, expanding from 9 to 22 nations hosting node machines for ICP.

Regarding tokenomics, the network witnessed a consistent inflow of staked ICP, averaging 1.7 million per month. Trading activity for ICP rose, partly due to the liquidity program introduced by the network. Moreover, ICP integrated with 7 new exchanges, 3 custody platforms, and 10 wallets.

In terms of market performance, ICP experienced a remarkable 145.90% increase in value over the past year. Presently, ICP is trading at $13.34, with a 0.85% increase in the last 24 hours and a 12.57% rise in the past 7 days. Based on recent price predictions, ICP could reach $17 in the coming years.

The network intensified its marketing efforts, focusing on events, PR, and media, with ICP.Hubs established in four regions during Q3 of 2023, now spanning 19 regions globally. The surge in the SNS (Service Nervous System) DAO framework also contributed to ICP's growth, with 12 SNS DAOs launched in the past year and two more set to launch in the New Year.
