The cessation of operations last November followed a spree of thefts attributed to Inferno Drainer, with reports suggesting the draining of over $80 million from around 5,000 victims through 689 phishing websites. However, the group's recent statement claims a far more lucrative haul, boasting of over $125 million in crypto assets drained during six months of clandestine activities, bringing the total loot attributed to its kit to an astonishing $250 million.

In its brazen announcement, Inferno Drainer not only flaunted its ill-gotten gains but also boasted of enhancements to its services. The group now purportedly supports 28 blockchain networks and an array of protocols, including lending, staking, and yield farming.

Curiously, the resurgence of Inferno Drainer coincides with the exit of competitors like Pink Drainer, which folded last week after allegedly fleecing over $85 million from more than 21,000 victims. Inferno Drainer justified its return, citing increased demand and the elimination of rival services as contributing factors. It expressed concern for users falling victim to inferior drainers, emphasizing its desire to prevent further scams and backdoor vulnerabilities in the ecosystem.
