As per an announcement on Injective's official X account, INJ 3.0 promises a significant overhaul of Injective tokenomics, making $INJ the most deflationary asset in the market post-upgrade. The latest proposal aims to swiftly reduce the INJ supply, sparking discussions among the Injective community regarding governance decisions on their forum.

Injective also issued an official post detailing the proposal, outlining key points such as inflation rate bounds:

- Lower Bound: Starting at 5%, this rate will decrease by 25% over the next two years, quarterly.

- Upper Bound: Beginning at 10%, this rate will decrease by 30% over the next two years.

The proposed schedule for these bounds spans from 2024 Q1 to 2026 Q2, with gradual reductions outlined for each quarter. Additionally, adjustments to the inflation rate change mechanism are proposed to enhance responsiveness to staking activity, increasing the rate from 0.1 to 0.5.

Injective plans to provide further details about the $INJ 3.0 airdrop on its forum on April 17 at 8:30 PM UTC, urging users to whitelist their wallets for the upcoming upgrade. The whitelisting window is set to close in 12 hours.
