The Punch publication highlights that the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), a global law enforcement entity, is anticipated to play a role in coordinating Anjarwalla’s repatriation to Nigerian authorities.

The disclosure of Anjarwalla’s impending extradition to Nigeria emerged days following his location in Kenya by law enforcement units. Bitcoin.com News reported that Nigerian agencies, led by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, were collaborating with their Kenyan counterparts to address the matter at hand.

In the wake of Anjarwalla’s apprehension by the Kenyan Police Service (KPS), Nigerian law enforcement bodies are purportedly striving to expedite the extradition process. Nonetheless, Sahara Reporters have cast doubt on the ease of extraditing Anjarwalla, given his alleged ties to influential figures in Kenya.

An unnamed detective within the Kenyan law enforcement apparatus remarked, “You cannot simply apprehend him at will. It's a procedural endeavor. Moreover, the Anjarwallas wield significant influence and enjoy support from formidable allies.”

Apart from grappling with the clout of Anjarwalla’s supporters, Nigerian authorities must also navigate the labyrinth of legal procedures to secure court authorization for initiating the extradition process. Per insights from another undisclosed detective, this judicial endorsement can be a protracted affair, stretching over months, if not years.

Although media accounts suggest Interpol's readiness to facilitate Anjarwalla’s extradition, the detective contends that obtaining a red notice or an arrest warrant from Interpol may not be as readily attainable as some sources have indicated.
