Block, the parent company of TBD, was co-founded by Jack Dorsey, the former Twitter CEO. To boost international trade in Africa, TBD, a digital payment firm with Dorsey's backing, has joined forces with Chipper Cash. The company is set to broaden its reach across 40 African nations.

Under the leadership of TBD CEO Mike Brock, the company is strategically expanding its global network. During a recent address in Ghana, Brock highlighted the importance of this expansion. TBD's unique advantage lies in its access to digital assets, allowing users to convert cryptocurrency to traditional money or transfer cryptocurrency directly to another user's wallet.

The platform also supports holding value in dollars, stablecoins, or Bitcoin (BTC) for the recipient. Brock emphasizes that TBD's approach blends traditional and innovative payment methods. The increased holdings of crypto assets by users have enabled faster cross-border payments through blockchain technology, which has seen widespread adoption.

In the past two years, African markets have seen a surge in crypto and digital payment solutions as companies target young investors. Chipper Cash, based in San Francisco, boasts over 5 million users who can transfer funds across 21 African countries. With rising inflation in many African nations, TBD's offering of payments in digital assets is particularly appealing to the continent's youth.
