In a recent advisory, Kauai Police Assistant Chief Kalani Ke issued a stern warning, highlighting the deceptive tactics employed by these scammers. The modus operandi involves placing calls to individuals under false pretenses, asserting the existence of arrest warrants against them.

The scammers employ fear tactics, threatening their targets with imminent arrest unless they promptly remit a fine in cryptocurrency.
