LayerZero Labs has announced its launch on Astar Substrate, an extension of the Astar Network, known for supporting both EVM and Wasm environments. The platform has introduced the Build2Earn Program for developers opting to build on Astar, along with a Bug Bounty Program offering rewards of up to $15 million to users who identify security vulnerabilities and suggest improvements.

Approximately $1 million has already been distributed to white hat participants in the Bug Bounty Program, with plans to merge this with a previously operational $2 million bounty program, expanding its scope.

The integration of LayerZero and Astar Network enables developers to utilize omnichain functionality between Astar and over 49 different chains, with various LayerZero endpoints available.

Astar Network views this collaboration as just the beginning and plans to deepen the partnership in the future. The community has responded positively, viewing Astar as a promising project and hoping that LayerZero's involvement will accelerate development.

LayerZero recently introduced ColorTrace, addressing colored coin issues, and supports the seamless movement of CAKE through the OFT Standard, along with enabling cross-chain voting.

Astar Network is focusing on implementing Tokenomics 2.0, aiming to reduce costs for developers and fees for dApps users during NFT minting.
