In a recent development, Bryan Pellegrino, co-founder of LayerZero and CEO of LayerZero Labs, has affirmed that employees of LayerZero Labs will not be eligible to participate in the project's upcoming airdrop, with strict measures in place to enforce this policy.

Late last night, Pellegrino made a public announcement, stating unequivocally that "every LayerZero Labs employee is 100% restricted from claiming and has no eligibility" for the airdrop. He emphasized that any attempt by employees to claim tokens would constitute a "fireable offense," reiterating that this policy has been communicated internally for some time.

LayerZero is renowned for its interoperability protocol, designed to empower developers in building cross-chain applications with modular security parameters. LayerZero Labs, the primary contributor to the protocol's development, remains committed to upholding the integrity of the project.

Responding to inquiries regarding the potential allocation of LayerZero tokens to employees who own non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from specific collections like Pudgy Penguins, Pellegrino clarified that employees are unequivocally prohibited from claiming such tokens.

Earlier this month, LayerZero Labs introduced Sybil farming, offering users actively engaging with the protocol an opportunity to self-report their participation in exchange for "15% of their intended allocation" in the upcoming airdrop. Failure to comply with this requirement could result in exclusion from the airdrop altogether.

LayerZero Labs conducted the initial snapshot for the prospective airdrop on May 1, signaling the project's proactive approach to community engagement and token distribution.
