Multiple leading Ethereum Layer-2 (L2) networks, including Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, zkSync, and Starkware, are gearing up to incorporate Avail’s Data Availability (DA) solution, as per a statement dated April 25 shared with CryptoSlate.

This integration will enable rollup developers to utilize Avail DA and its ecosystem, streamlining the creation of scalable and efficient rollup architectures within the Web3 realm.

In the case of Arbitrum, Orbit builders will access Avail DA upon its mainnet release, negating the reliance on AnyTrust and its external Data Availability Committee.

Nina Rong, Head of Ecosystem Development at Arbitrum Foundation, mentioned, “[The] capability to utilize Avail will broaden the options for Arbitrum Orbit developers, empowering them to select the most suitable solution for their requirements.”

Simultaneously, Avail is teaming up with OP Labs, a key contributor to Optimism, to seamlessly integrate with its ecosystem, enabling Optimism developers to further scale their applications in response to growing demand.

Polygon plans to integrate Avail DA into its Chain Development Kit (CDK), facilitating developers to seamlessly integrate Avail DA while upholding cryptographic security, atomic composability, and chain sovereignty, ensuring unified liquidity and scalable architecture.

Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs, stated, “Avail DA’s integration with Polygon CDK offers a robust data availability layer, enhancing the developer experience. Providing such flexibility to developers is crucial for fostering a thriving and resilient ecosystem of interconnected blockchains through the AggLayer.”

Avail’s collaboration with StarkWare entails integration with the Starknet-powered Madera rollup framework, enabling developers to construct appchains.

Eli Ben-Sasson, CEO of StarkWare, expressed enthusiasm for solutions that amalgamate Web3 and optimize data availability, resulting in highly scalable and customizable rollups. Avail plays a pivotal role in this endeavor by utilizing validity proofs to ensure swift and orderly transaction processing.

Lastly, Avail DA will integrate with zkSync’s ZK Stack, a modular framework simplifying customization and deployment of interoperable ZK-powered blockchains.

Ramon Canales, Head of Product at zkSync developer Matter Labs, highlighted that limited data availability poses a significant hurdle to mainstream blockchain adoption. Avail’s un-opinionated base layer can support any blockchain, addressing this issue and facilitating limitless scaling.
