A cluster of prominent Ethereum Layer-2 (L2) networks, such as Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, zkSync, and Starkware, are preparing to adopt Avail's Data Availability (DA) solution, following an announcement dated April 25 disclosed to CryptoSlate. This collaboration aims to empower rollup developers in integrating Avail DA within their structures to streamline the development of scalable and productive rollup frameworks within the vast expanse of Web3 technologies.

In terms of Arbitrum, developers on Orbit will soon have access to Avail DA upon its official launch, eliminating the need for AnyTrust and its external Data Availability Committee. Nina Rong, Head of Ecosystem Development at Arbitrum Foundation, cited that the integration of Avail will expand the choices available to Arbitrum Orbit developers, allowing them to pick the most appropriate solution for their specific needs. This move signifies a strategic step towards enhancing efficiency and reliability within the layer-2 ecosystem.

Concurrently, Avail is joining forces with OP Labs, a significant contributor to Optimism, to seamlessly merge with its system, enabling developers on Optimism to meet the increasing demand for scalability in their applications. Polygon aims to incorporate Avail DA into its Chain Development Kit (CDK), simplifying the integration process for developers while upholding essential security measures and ensuring a unified approach to liquidity and scalability. Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs, underscored the significance of Avail DA's integration with Polygon CDK, which provides a robust data availability layer, thereby enriching the development experience for creators.

The collaboration between Avail and StarkWare involves integrating Avail with the Starknet-powered Madera rollup framework, empowering developers to construct appchains seamlessly. Eli Ben-Sasson, CEO of StarkWare, emphasized the importance of merging Web3 technologies with optimized data availability to foster scalable and customizable rollup solutions. Avail's use of validity proofs stands as a crucial component in ensuring rapid and organized transaction processing, thus advancing the scalability of blockchain applications.

Finally, the integration of Avail DA with zkSync’s ZK Stack complements a modular framework that simplifies the customization and deployment of interoperable ZK-powered blockchains. Ramon Canales, Head of Product at zkSync developer Matter Labs, pointed out that limited data availability poses a significant challenge to the widespread adoption of blockchain technology. Avail's unbiased foundation supports a range of blockchains, addressing this challenge and facilitating unlimited scalability across various blockchain frameworks, contributing significantly to the evolution of blockchain ecosystems.
