Prominent Chinese crypto journalist and blogger Colin Wu has shared crucial updates regarding spot Ethereum ETF filings. According to Wu, Bloomberg's senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas revealed that leading financial firms, including BlackRock, Fidelity, Grayscale, and VanEck, have updated their S-1 filings for spot Ethereum ETFs.

The recent documentation submitted by these companies outlines new details about their proposed Ethereum ETFs. Notably, Franklin Templeton has set its Ethereum ETF fees at 0.19%, while VanEck has pegged theirs at 0.2%. Furthermore, BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, disclosed a substantial $10 million seed investment from a major undisclosed investor, indicating strong initial backing for its future ETF (ETHA) shares.

Balchunas suggests that the approval date for the spot Ethereum ETF could likely be July 2. This follows a successful precedent set earlier this year when the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved spot Bitcoin ETFs from the same companies. These Bitcoin ETFs rapidly accumulated significant amounts of BTC upon commencing trading.

Bitcoin ETF Market Dynamics

Despite the optimism surrounding the Ethereum ETF filings, spot Bitcoin ETFs have faced challenges recently. According to analytics firm SpotOnChain, these ETFs have experienced outflows throughout the past trading week. On Friday alone, spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $545 million in withdrawals. Specific funds like Grayscale experienced a $34.2 million withdrawal, while BlackRock's IBIT ETF had zero net flow on the same day. However, @lookonchain reported that BlackRock received an inflow of 23 BTC, and Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF acquired 229 BTC. Meanwhile, Fidelity and Bitwise faced outflows of 787 BTC and 485 BTC, respectively.

SEC's Conclusion on Ethereum 2.0

In a significant development for the Ethereum community, the SEC concluded its investigation into Ethereum 2.0 earlier this week.
