Billionaire investor Marc Cuban's Ethereum wallet under the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain "markcuban.eth" has sprung back into action, selling a series of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) after nearly two years of dormancy.

The wallet, which last recorded activity on January 13, 2022, recently made headlines by liquidating 14 NFTs for a total of $38,500. The assortment of NFTs included pieces from collections like EulerBeats Genesis, DeepBlack, Pudgy Penguins, and Wrapped MoonCats.

Among the transactions, the highest-valued sale was Cuban's Pudgy Penguin #6239, fetching 9.06 Wrapped Ether (WETH), equivalent to approximately $30,578. Other sales ranged from as low as $22 to $1,800 per NFT.

Adding to the activity, Cuban has listed two additional NFTs for sale. One is his prized Hashtag NFT #MFFL, priced at 15 Ether (ETH), valued around $50,000. The other listing is a BibleNFT titled Deuteronomy 25:4, with an asking price of 5 ETH, approximately $16,000. If these listings are sold, the total proceeds from the recent NFT sales could exceed $100,000.

This sudden surge in NFT sales from Cuban's wallet coincides with a recent security incident involving the entrepreneur. On June 23, Cuban reported that his Gmail account was compromised following a fraudulent call impersonating Google recovery procedures. Despite this setback, Cuban later announced on June 25 that he had successfully regained control of his account, thanking Google's security team for their assistance.

Notably, this isn't the first time Cuban has faced security issues related to his crypto holdings. In 2023, one of his crypto wallets was reportedly drained of approximately $870,000 in assets, including USD Coin (USDC), Tether (USDT), and Lido Staked Ether (stETH), according to data from Etherscan.

While Cuban's wallet activity has sparked interest, it remains unclear whether the recent NFT sales are directly linked to the security incident. Nevertheless, Cuban's return to the NFT market highlights ongoing interest and activity in digital collectibles despite periodic security challenges faced by high-profile investors and personalities in the cryptocurrency space.
