Cuban's warning, shared on social media, suggests that Gensler's regulatory approach towards cryptocurrency could negatively impact President Joe Biden's reelection chances.

Cuban emphasized that Gensler and the SEC's New York office could bear responsibility if Biden suffers electoral defeat, attributing this potential outcome to Gensler's stance on crypto regulation, which may alienate younger and impartial voters who are invested in cryptocurrency. He criticized Gensler for not doing enough to protect these investors from scams.

Moreover, Cuban criticized Gensler for creating an unfavorable environment for legitimate crypto businesses, arguing that his policies could hinder their success and disillusion many entrepreneurs. He called on Congress to recognize the growing importance of the crypto industry as an electoral issue and proposed either establishing a specific regulatory framework for crypto firms or transferring regulatory authority to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), citing their expertise in the field.
