Mastercard has revealed its collaboration with five innovative startups in its digital asset program, marking a significant step forward in integrating Blockchain technology within the financial industry. This partnership aims to explore and develop cutting-edge Blockchain applications that will revolutionize digital payments.

The initiative underscores Mastercard's dedication to leveraging Blockchain for secure and efficient transactions. The selected startups will focus on projects such as asset tokenization, decentralized finance (DeFi), and digital identity verification. Mastercard will provide these companies with extensive support, including access to a global network, expert guidance, and technological infrastructure.

In a statement, Mastercard emphasized its expertise in payment innovation and global card-based networks, positioning the company to connect new ventures with diverse ecosystems, drive innovative solutions, and enhance efficiency in digital commerce experiences.

Mastercard's collaboration with startups worldwide extends to Blockchain, crypto assets, and Web3 solutions. Through the Start Path program, these promising ventures receive support, specialized training, and access to a wide customer base and channels for a four-month period. Since its inception in 2014, Start Path has nurtured over 400 startups from 54 countries.

Among the five selected companies, Kulipa from France focuses on next-generation crypto payment cards for digital wallets, while Parfin in the UK develops enterprise software products for Blockchain adoption in financial institutions. Singapore's Peaq offers limitless digital infrastructure for real-world applications, Triangle in the US combines climate data with finance for sustainability, and Venly in Belgium facilitates Blockchain integration for industry growth and digital transformation.

Axel Cateland, the founder of Kulipa, expressed the goal of increasing crypto adoption and global stablecoin payments through Mastercard's Start Path program, aiming to drive financial inclusion and innovation in the sector.
