Mirror World, a Web3 application development platform, is set to unveil the inaugural gaming rollup on Solana.

Announced on March 29, this groundbreaking initiative leverages Solana's innovative Virtual Machine (SVM) computation engine, named "Sonic," which enables developers to deploy game engines or virtual machines of their choice on Solana through its software development kit (SDK). Additionally, the HyperGrid technology, developed by Mirror World, facilitates gaming platforms in establishing their own on-ramp and cross-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregators for Solana in-game interactions.

The Mirror World SDK has already been integrated into 50 gaming clients, serving as initial distribution nodes. Notably, three games—Mahjong Meta, Matr1x Fire, and Seraph/ActozSoft—have witnessed significant engagement, generating over $30 million in series round funding and attracting more than 200,000 traffic and transaction engagements during gaming sessions after incorporating the Mirror World SDK.

Chris Zhu, CEO of Mirror World, emphasized the company's dedication to supporting Web3 games in their monetization and listing endeavors. Zhu highlighted Sonic's vision to expand Solana's gaming ecosystem, processing millions of requests per second per game and settling them back onto Solana L1.

Moreover, Mirror World offers the Smart Marketplace SDK, enabling developers to integrate a dedicated nonfungible token marketplace within their decentralized application for a monthly fee of $299, with a transaction volume limit of $1 million per month.

Despite Ethereum's dominance in gaming activities, Solana has emerged as a top-five blockchain by market capitalization, with a remarkable 824% increase in value over the past year. Although gaming activities on Solana have been relatively underdeveloped compared to Ethereum, notable progress has been made, evidenced by Solana's record-breaking $5 billion in nonfungible token sales in February.
