Moondance Labs, the company behind the Tanssi appchain framework protocol, introduces ContainerChains, an innovative solution aimed at simplifying the establishment of application-oriented blockchains for developers.

The proliferation of appchains is beneficial for their specific blockspace, customization options, and alignment with key blockchain principles such as safety, governance, and decentralization. However, their complex deployment requirements often pose challenges for projects, leading to increased costs and longer development cycles.

To address these challenges, Tanssi's ContainerChains provide seamless integration with various framework services, transforming an appchain into a ContainerChain. This streamlines the deployment process and significantly reduces complexity.

Francisco Agosti, CEO of Moondance Labs and co-founder of Tanssi, emphasizes that Tanssi is the first protocol enabling developers to rapidly deploy secure and decentralized appchains. He believes that with the growing popularity of appchains and rollup solutions, an automated and frictionless solution is essential. ContainerChains aim to meet this need without compromising on decentralization, safety, or conventional composability, which are fundamental principles of Web3.

Tanssi ContainerChains leverage Substrate infrastructure, known for its modular design that allows for additional customization. Pre-installed components ensure compatibility with Tanssi's protocol, simplifying developer entry into the Substrate and Polkadot ecosystems through pre-created templates. Flexible EVM templates are also available.

Several benefits accompany the integration of an appchain with Tanssi and its transformation into a ContainerChain, including collation and data redemption services, seamless integration with leading wallets, incorporation of XCM, and tools for chain management. Additionally, integration with Polkadot's relay chain leverages shared safety features and interoperability.

The public testnet of Tanssi, Dancebox, marks a significant step towards wider acceptance of ContainerChains. Over 40 projects, including RMRK, LeverFi, and Galaxia Studio, are already part of the Tanssi ecosystem and will join Dancebox.

Bruno Skvorc, inventor of RMRK, sees linking RMRK with Dancebox as a testament to their commitment to chain-level customizations. He believes that Tanssi's involvement with the appchain framework will help them achieve their NFT objectives.

Earlier this year, Moondance Labs secured $3 million in a seed round led by Arrington Capital, along with prominent venture capitalists Fenbushi, Borderless Capital, Hashkey Capital, and others.
