A Reddit user named Due_Career_4786 reported that the Mt Gox website was down for a few days due to technical updates. This was followed by a post on the Mt. Gox insolvency hub on Reddit, which included an updated table with repayment information.

The table suggests that creditors can expect to withdraw a certain number of tokens in Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and cash (Yen). While there is no guarantee of an imminent disbursement, the table indicates that Mt Gox plans to distribute its holdings of 142,000 BTC, 143,000 BCH, and 69 billion yen to creditors before October 31, 2024.

However, some users are cautious about getting their hopes up too soon. One Reddit user suggested that updating the table may have been a way for Mt Gox to stop receiving emails about the repayment process.

Years of Waiting for Mt Gox Repayment

The Mt Gox exploit occurred several years ago, and affected users have been waiting for their repayment since 2014. Mt Gox has made progress towards reimbursing its creditors, including confirming Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash addresses with its users in January.
