The Nexo app now allows users to send cryptocurrencies like USDT and BTC to friends and contacts using their email or phone number. This feature makes it easier to send and receive crypto, giving more people access to digital assets.

By using email or phone numbers, recipients can easily claim the transferred funds without needing complicated crypto addresses. They also get access to Nexo's services like earning interest and borrowing money, all in one place without switching wallets.

For example, sending Bitcoin through the Nexo app is fast, free of fees, and offers recipients the opportunity to earn interest at rates of up to 7% per year on their holdings. They can even borrow funds against their Bitcoin assets at low rates, making their crypto holdings more useful.

To claim the transferred funds, recipients need to create a Nexo account with the same email or phone number provided by the sender. If they don't claim the funds within 14 days, the money will be returned to the sender's Savings Wallet. However, creating an account might not be available in some places like the UK and the UAE.
