Despite some ups and downs, Ethereum has managed to maintain its leading position, witnessing a significant number of NFT transactions taking place on its platform.

Though there has been a slight decline in the volume of sales, Ethereum’s unwavering presence highlights its strength and significance within the NFT market. This trend not only emphasizes Ethereum’s enduring popularity but also underscores its key role as a primary blockchain platform for NFT transactions, even amidst short-term market instabilities.

The bond between Ethereum and NFTs has proven successful based on data provided by CryptoSlam, reinforcing Ethereum's status as the predominant blockchain for NFT sales, securing this spot for the third consecutive day. A recent report revealed a 63% decrease in Ethereum sales on Friday, down from $32.81 million on Thursday, which was notably boosted by the sale of a single CryptoPunk NFT for a staggering $16.38 million.

During this period, Bitcoin and Solana followed suit, taking the second and third slots in terms of sales volume with figures of US$7.99 million and US$6.10 million, respectively, trailing behind Ethereum. Bitcoin saw a 23% decline in quarterly sales volume, marking the first instance where Bitcoin NFTs fell below the $10 million mark. Currently, Bitcoin (BTC) reflects a value of $63,791.63, showing a 3.1% decrease since yesterday and a 0.1% increase from an hour ago. Seven days earlier, BTC held a 7.6% higher value than it stands at present.

As of now, the value of Ethereum (ETH) stands at $3,310.28, representing a 0.6% drop from an hour ago and a 5.8% decrease compared to yesterday. The present worth of ETH is 11.4% lower than its value seven days prior. Sales of Solana saw a decrease by 7.62%, with Solana (SOL) valued at $172.85 as of today, declining by 0.8% from one hour ago and 3.2% since yesterday, making SOL 8.1% less valuable than a week earlier.

Despite an overall market downturn, there are still fluctuations in activity observed across different blockchain platforms. Friday demonstrated a surge for BNB Chain, with sales rising by 12% to reach $1.22 million, driven in part by the success of the “Lucky Start” collection, contributing $668,236 to the overall sales figure.

Leading the way in NFT sales, the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), an Ethereum-based NFT collection crafted by Yuga Labs, continued to dominate the charts in revenue on Friday, with a total of $1.45 million garnered in a twenty-four-hour period leading up to 2:00 p.m. ET, as reported by CryptoSlam.

In the same timeframe, NodeMonkes, a Bitcoin-based collection, clinched the second-highest sales total of the day, closing at US$1.3 million. Notably, the Froganas collection on Solana saw significant growth, marking a 57.70% surge in sales to reach $1.19 million, gaining entry into the week's top ten for the very first time.

Comparatively, CryptoPunks, a notable entity within the Ethereum ecosystem, suffered a significant revenue plummet of 95.75% down to US$720,652.58, despite maintaining an unchanged volume of transactions. Following a remarkable sale of CryptoPunk #7804 for US$16.38 million that placed CryptoPunks at the summit, the collection descended to eighth place on Wednesday.

Taking into account a broader view, Axie Infinity by Ronin continues as the foremost game in historical sales, recording a remarkable $4.26 billion. BAYC and CryptoPunks trail behind with $3.10 billion and $2.78 billion, respectively. Conversely, Ethereum's Pudgy Penguins witnessed a notable decline, with sales dropping by 65.19% to US$877,237 and transactions diminishing by 66.67%.
