In Japan, the blockchain gaming scene is getting a boost thanks to a new partnership between Oasys and SBINFT Market, an NFT marketplace under the SBI Group. This collaboration aims to grow the Japanese NFT and crypto gaming world.

Now, SBINFT Market supports assets from Oasys’ blockchain networks, adding to its previous integration with Oasys’ HOME Verse. This move opens up more opportunities for developers building on Oasys, allowing them to auction off their collections on SBINFT Market, pending approval. Only digital collectibles from authorized artists and Oasys-affiliated providers can be listed.

Oasys, known for attracting attention from big game companies like Ubisoft and Bandai Namco, sees this partnership as crucial for its ecosystem. By expanding into Japan, Oasys hopes to offer more ways for users and developers to make money and engage with blockchain gaming.

The SBINFT Market, which already supports various tokenized assets like digital art and in-game items, is now welcoming assets from Oasys’ Hub-Layer and MCH Verse blockchains. Transactions on SBINFT Market can be done using digital currencies or credit cards, and it supports NFTs on Ethereum and Polygon blockchains.

Aside from the SBINFT partnership, Oasys is also working on its own NFT collection, OASYX, and collaborating with Ubisoft on the upcoming game Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles. Oasys is committed to growing the blockchain gaming sector in Asia, as shown by its collaboration with Pacific Meta earlier this year to reach the Chinese-speaking community.

Experts predict significant growth in the decentralized finance gaming sector, estimating it to reach $614.91 billion by 2030, driven by factors like increased interest in online gaming post-COVID-19. This collaboration between Oasys and SBINFT Market is just one step in the journey toward a thriving blockchain gaming industry in Japan and beyond.
