The rollout of customized gas tokens will commence in the coming days, offering an alternative data accessibility option through plasma mode. This feature is essential for developers looking to implement cost-effective supply chains.

Forwarding transactions to L2 instead of the Ethereum mainnet significantly decreases the costs associated with data commitments and throughput routes, providing L3s with more positioning options on the OP Stack.

According to Optimism team members, the introduction of Redstone, the inaugural OP Stack Chain with plasma mode, showcases the feature's potential to support high-output applications without the need for new programming languages.
