PancakeSwap, a decentralized exchange (DEX) operating on multiple blockchains, has formed a partnership with Allora Network to launch an AI-powered Prediction Market on the Arbitrum network. This new feature will utilize AI-driven price flow data provided by Allora, PancakeSwap’s new decentralized AI network partner.

Allora’s advanced machine learning capabilities will enable PancakeSwap users to forecast Ethereum price movements on the Arbitrum network. PancakeSwap Product Manager Chef Gyoza shared insights about this collaboration, noting that over the past three years, Allora Labs' models have successfully generated price predictions for over 400 million assets with a confidence range of 95-99%. This high level of accuracy promises to offer users reliable data to base their predictions on.

The AI models developed by Allora will predict the likelihood of various crypto assets' prices increasing or decreasing. Users can then make their predictions based on these AI forecasts. The payment process within this Prediction Market is linked to the accuracy of the AI’s predictions, and the market adjusts over time according to the AI's performance. Chef Gyoza highlighted that users have the option to follow the AI’s predictions or go against them, noting that the AI has achieved approximately 65% accuracy in tests. Users must decide when to trust the AI’s predictions, as opposing the AI could offer higher odds.

Addressing concerns about potential market manipulation, Gyoza assured that all historical data, price flow history, and AI prediction history will be accessible through the history tab on the prediction page. The results are finalized on-chain through the prediction v2 contract, ensuring transparency and integrity. The AI's predictions are published only after the rounds are locked, preventing users from exploiting directional positions.

Chef Gyoza also discussed the impact of the new Prediction Market on PancakeSwap’s liquidity and volatility. He indicated that while it is a nascent product and may not immediately have a significant market impact, the partnership with Allora opens the door to expanding AI predictions to a variety of other on-chain and off-chain markets.

In addition to the Prediction Market, PancakeSwap is gearing up to introduce another AI-powered tool, CupcakeHop. Developed by Bril Finance, this portfolio management tool is expected to be available in August. CupcakeHop aims to provide personalized investment strategies and real-time risk management, catering to a wider audience and enhancing user experience on PancakeSwap.
