Veteran trader Peter Brandt, with over four decades of experience, shared his insights on June 2 regarding the bitcoin bull market and potential price rise in a blog post titled “The beautiful symmetry of past bitcoin bull market cycles.”

Brandt pointed out the notable symmetry in bitcoin bull market cycles, observing that Bitcoin halvings “have represented the half-way points of past bull market cycles.” Historically, the duration from the start of a bull market to a halving has closely matched the period from a halving to the cycle’s peak. He stated:

If this pattern continues, the next bull market cycle high should occur in late August or early September 2025.

Brandt warned that predicting the peak of bitcoin’s current bull cycle is challenging, as no analysis method is foolproof. However, he noted that “the highs of past bull markets align well with an inverted parabolic curve.” Indicating a probable peak date and price level, Brandt explained:

If this trend persists, the peak of this bull market cycle could be between $130,000 and $150,000.

Brandt stressed his cautious approach to market predictions, acknowledging various possible outcomes. “I continue to place a 25% probability that bitcoin price has topped for this cycle,” he mentioned. “Should bitcoin fail to make a decisive new all-time high and decline below $55,000, I will increase the probability of the Exponential Decay.”
