Peter Brandt, an experienced trader with over forty years in the market, has pointed out the continuous rise of bitcoin compared to gold since its inception. He predicts that in the future, it will take 100 ounces of gold to purchase one bitcoin. Brandt illustrated this trend using a chart showing the evolving ratio of gold ounces needed to buy BTC, suggesting that this ratio will remain unstable for the next 12 to 18 months before stabilizing at 100 ounces of gold per BTC.

Brandt's observations were shared on social media, where he referenced the GC_F gold futures contract on the COMEX exchange. He highlighted that bitcoin has consistently gained value compared to gold over time, emphasizing the current and projected ratios. Seeking input from gold advocate Peter Schiff, Brandt challenged Schiff’s assertion that gold has outperformed bitcoin in recent years. Schiff argued that BTC has underperformed compared to gold, citing a decline in the ounces of gold needed to buy one bitcoin from 37 to 29 over a period.

Despite his optimism about bitcoin's future as a primary store of value replacing fiat currency, Brandt expressed concerns about the potential risks associated with crypto staking. He warned of potential disasters, bankruptcies, and financial losses within the sector.
