Asynchronous backing optimizes the validation process of parachain blocks by the relay chain, resulting in a twofold acceleration in blockspace production time and a 3-5x increase in extrinsic per block. It also boosts the utilization of parachain blocks, projecting a 6-10x enhancement in blockspace availability. Additionally, it promises an 8-fold increase in throughput while maintaining security standards, thereby supporting decentralized applications across various sectors like Web3 gaming and DeFi.

Despite this technological advancement, the price of DOT remained relatively stable, experiencing only a slight 1.16% decline in the last 24 hours. This stability contrasts with its recent growth trend, where DOT's value had increased by approximately 10% over the past week, outperforming the broader market.

Crypto analyst Michaël van de Poppe considers Polkadot as one of the leading layer1 networks, still undervalued despite its significant developer base and growth. He suggests that Polkadot's solutions for scalability and security issues faced by Ethereum could lead to a potential price surge in the future.
