Miden, a Layer 2 scaling solution, reduces the computational burden on the Layer 1 chain, resulting in faster and cheaper transactions for users.

Miden, a ZK-rollup, records transaction data directly on the Ethereum chain, ensuring privacy and scalability while expanding the chain's capabilities. With the launch of the Miden Alpha Testnet, developers can now test the zk-rollup, which aims to alleviate the strain on the Ethereum blockchain.

In a competitive Ethereum scaling space, Miden joins other Layer 2 chains like Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, zkSync, Scroll, and Linea, all focused on enhancing Ethereum's scalability. Rollups like Miden provide data verification while maintaining data confidentiality, prioritizing user privacy and enabling client-side transactions.

Miden offers client-side proving, allowing users to construct proofs for their state transitions without revealing the state to the network.
