Running for four weeks, the staking event offers holders of the network's native ZKJ tokens a chance to stake their assets in exchange for enticing rewards.

In an announcement shared via Notion, Polyhedra outlined the terms of the program, which will run until July 11. Participants are required to stake their tokens for a minimum of one week to be eligible for rewards. For those aiming for a reward of at least $100, staking 1,000 ZKJ tokens, currently valued at approximately $1,110 based on prevailing market rates, is necessary.

This significant development arrives on the heels of a notable industry incident involving Matter Labs, the brains behind the zkSync layer-2 solution. Following a wave of criticism from the crypto community, Matter Labs opted to retract its attempt to trademark the widely used "ZK" term. This reversal of decision occurred merely three days after prominent ZK researchers voiced their concerns, advocating for the accessibility of ZK innovations as a public good.

The dispute stemmed from Matter Labs' application for trademarks on terms like "ZK," despite the existence of the same ticker being utilized by Polyhedra Network for its token.
