The Susquehanna International Group, a company specializing in quantitative trading, made a significant investment in Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in Q1 2024.

In a filing submitted on May 7 to the Securities and Exchange Commission, Susquehanna disclosed that it owned over $1 billion in various Bitcoin ETFs.

The firm's portfolio includes shares in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC), and ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITO).

In addition to their Bitcoin investments, Susquehanna also diversified their portfolio by acquiring shares in other companies and holding call and put options valued at millions of dollars.

The trend of trading firms and financial advisers investing in Bitcoin ETFs is growing, with Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF attracting significant investments from traditional financial advisers in April.

This shift towards Bitcoin ETFs among traditional investors is seen as a positive sign for long-term adoption, despite skepticism from some within the financial industry.
