Secret Network is actively working on implementing decentralized confidential computing (DeCC) across Web3, enabling applications to utilize decentralized capabilities across various Blockchains. Recently, Secret Network launched the Confidential Computing Layer (CCL), the first mainnet Blockchain with private smart contracts. This layer facilitates communication between applications on different Blockchains and contracts on Secret Network for conducting confidential computations, catering to applications with encrypted data, unlike traditional public Blockchains.

Secret Network's expertise lies in creating applications that protect encrypted data, diverging from the common practice of public data storage in most Blockchains. This presents opportunities for popular Web3 applications like DeFi, NFTs, and DAOs. Developers are showing interest and predicting a rise in the prices of in-house tokens $ATOM and $SCRT.

In June 2023, Secret introduced "Privacy as a Service," extending computing services to other Blockchains through cross-chain communication, collaborating with the Axelar network for seamless message exchange. The refinement and documentation of these confidential computing concepts will take time.

Developers at Secret Network are tirelessly improving the CCL, supporting over 10 EVM Blockchains and providing comprehensive documentation. They plan to integrate CCL with new Blockchains, announcing partnerships to raise awareness and offer customized support for their ecosystems. Concurrently, they will enhance CCL capabilities by incorporating cross-chain messaging technologies like Wormhole, Union, and Composable, expanding to Blockchains like Solana, Aptos, and NEAR.

This expansion increases Secret's reach, providing developers with more options for cross-chain strategies. They aim to offer a wide range of tools to streamline development and provide tutorials and documentation for each application example.
