In Seoul, Korea, the World IT Show 2024 has kicked off, organized by the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT. This significant information and communications technology exhibition in South Korea is primarily focusing on cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies presented by major tech companies from Korea and around the globe.

Themed as "Innovation in everyday life, created by artificial intelligence (AI)," the three-day event will see participation from 10 countries alongside Korean representatives, showcasing the latest technological advancements and research projects. The Korean Ministry of Science and ICT anticipates 446 companies and various institutions to exhibit their innovative products at the show.

Leading technology giants like LG Electronics Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. are participating in the exhibition. LG will showcase its "affectionate AI" technology, aimed at optimizing user experience by synchronizing various electronic devices. LG's product lineup will include futuristic AI processors and innovation in mobility, such as the "Alpha 11" and "Alpha-able" technologies for OLED televisions.

Samsung, on the other hand, will unveil its cutting-edge flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S24, highlighting its advanced AI capabilities like real-time translation during phone calls. The company will also demonstrate its electronic wallet service, Samsung Wallet, and the integration of AI features in their home appliance series, ensuring a holistic AI experience for users.

Notable mobile service providers like KT Corp. and SK Telecom Co. will also present their AI-driven product offerings at the exhibition, appealing to tech enthusiasts and visitors. The World IT Show, commencing on April 17th and concluding on April 19th at the COEX Convention and Exhibition Center, will feature product showcases, keynote sessions, and networking opportunities, attracting over 100,000 industry professionals and ICT enthusiasts.

Looking ahead, Korea and Britain are set to co-host the AI Seoul Summit next month, building on the success of the AI safety summit held in England last year. The collaboration involves sponsorships from KITA, The Korea Economic Daily, Coex, K Fairs, and Kait, offering free online registration for visitors to access the exhibition.
