The Shiba Inu ecosystem has witnessed a remarkable surge in activity on its Shibarium network, with key blockchain metrics exhibiting significant growth over the past 24 hours. According to Shibariumscan, transaction volume has experienced a substantial 60% increase, soaring from 5,150 to 7,930.

This notable surge in transaction volume has led to a corresponding rise in network fees. The amount of BONE tokens, which are utilized to pay these fees, has increased from 16.68 BONE to 32 BONE within the same period.

Shibarium's transaction model leverages BONE tokens for transaction fees, a portion of which are converted into SHIB tokens and subsequently burned. This burning process reduces the circulating supply of Shiba Inu tokens, potentially enhancing their value over time.

Several factors are contributing to this surge in network activity. Recent market volatility has spurred increased investor interest in Shiba Inu tokens, driving higher transaction demand on Shibarium.

The increased activity is further evidenced by a 13.7% rise in active accounts on the network, which grew from 687 to 781. Interestingly, while the number of active users increased, new account creation saw a slight decline, indicating that the existing user base is driving this surge in activity.
