Shiba Inu, a popular meme cryptocurrency, has taken another step forward in expanding its utility and reach by partnering with the fast-food chain Welly. The Welly Friends X account announced the opening of their second store in Reggio Emilia, Italy, further solidifying the Shiba Inu ecosystem's presence in the country.

The Shiba Inu ecosystem's official X account reacted enthusiastically to the news, sharing in the excitement of Welly's expansion. This development underscores Welly's commitment to growth in Italy and indirectly showcases Shiba Inu's expanding utility.

Welly first launched in Italy in October 2021, and by the following year, Shiba Inu's lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, announced the project's interest in venturing into the food business segment. As a result, Shiba Inu partnered with Welly, leading to the fast-food joint's rebranding to align with the Shiba Inu theme, including a SHIB-themed dog smiling in the branding and blue and white interiors.

Welly's integration with SHIB has sparked hopes among the ShibArmy that it will actively participate in burning SHIB tokens. Over the past week, the SHIB burn rate has soared by more than 530%, reigniting market optimism among crypto enthusiasts and sparking hopes for a potential price rally for SHIB. However, the burn rate has since plunged significantly, down by 93.96% at the time of writing.

The Shiba Inu community has rolled out a new burn initiative focused on burning 1% of all transactions involving Shiba Inu tokens, explicitly aimed at garnering support from Binance and Coinbase. With the SHIB burn rate significantly low, efforts may be intensified towards taking the burn to other crypto exchanges as well.
