Standard Chartered predicts that Solana (SOL) and Ripple’s XRP might be the next cryptocurrencies to achieve spot ETF status, but not until 2025. Analyst Geoffrey Kendric noted that while Bitcoin and Ethereum will dominate the ETF market for now, Solana and XRP are likely to follow. This follows the SEC's approval of key forms in the process to launch a spot ether ETF, although full approval is still pending and could take a significant amount of time.

Experts suggest that Solana, being the third largest cryptocurrency by market cap after Bitcoin and Ethereum (excluding stablecoins and Binance Coin), could logically be next. Brokerage firm Bernstein supports this view, noting Solana's similarities to Ethereum.
