Solana developers are working on fixing the bug causing network congestion, aiming to resolve it by mid-April. Mert Mumtaz, CEO of Helius Labs and a Solana supporter, shared this update on social media, mentioning the patch's deployment by April 15.

The congestion, attributed to the blockchain's popularity and automated bot activity, has led to increased transaction failures. Austin Federa, Solana's head of strategy, highlighted the network's unprecedented traffic, calling it a stress test.

Mumtaz clarified that the congestion stems from an implementation bug, not a fundamental design flaw, making it easier to rectify. While the fix is slated for April 15, additional issues may prolong the timeline. Mumtaz also mentioned economic factors compounding Solana's challenges.

Consequently, several crypto projects on Solana, like Surge Finance and Sky Hause, have postponed their launches due to the network congestion.
