Solana is actively addressing its current issues, particularly the increasing number of failed transactions on the network. In a tweet dated April 4, Raj Gokal, the network’s co-founder, highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance user transaction experiences. Anatoly Yakovenko, another co-founder, acknowledged the challenges in addressing congestion issues on the network, emphasizing the complexities involved in fixing bugs compared to handling liveness failures.

The surge in failed transactions, especially non-voting transactions, has been a cause for concern. Data from Dune Analytics, analyzed by Scarn_eth, indicates a notable increase in the failure rate compared to the previous month. Regular Solana users have expressed frustration with this trend and its impact on their experience.

Mert Mumtaz, CEO of Helius Labs and a Solana advocate, attributed much of the recent surge in failed transactions to trading bots, estimating that around 95% of them are bot-related. He cautioned against solely relying on the failed transactions chart, suggesting that it does not fully capture the user experience as many issues occur before transactions are even processed on-chain. He emphasized the need to address spam transactions, which would improve revenue and throughput on the network significantly.
