Swell has partnered with AltLayer and EigenDa to introduce its Layer 2 rollup for restaking. With a TVL of $1 billion through staked LST and LRT, Swell's Layer 2 will focus on liquid restaked assets on EigenLayer.

AltLayer initiated the infrastructure for a restaked roll-up, and Swell's rollup will utilize it, incorporating actively validated services (AVS) for safety and decentralization. These include decentralized sequencing, decentralized authentication, and faster finality, leveraging EigenLayer's staking system.

Swell's rollup will offer traditional staking yields, improved upgradability, and reduced fees for both conventional staking and restaking yield within its ecosystem.

The conventional gas token for the chain will be rswETH, Swell's recently released LRT, developed in collaboration with operators, AVS, and risk experts. SWELL will serve as the governance token alongside swETH and rswETH.

Built on Polygon's zkEVM technology on EigenDA with the support of Chainlink, Swell's Layer 2 aims to enhance the liquid restaking options within its staking ecosystem.
