Swell has partnered with Altlayer and EigenDa to launch its Layer 2 rollup dedicated to restaking assets. With $1 billion in Total Value Locked (TVL) across staked LST and LRT, Swell's Layer 2 will focus on liquid restaked assets within the EigenLayer ecosystem.

Swell's rollup will serve as a restaked infrastructure, initiated by AltLayer, featuring a range of Actively Validated Services (AVS) to ensure safety and decentralization. These services include decentralized sequencing, authentication, and faster finality, leveraging EigenLayer's staking system.

Users within Swell's ecosystem will benefit from traditional staking rewards, improved upgradability, and reduced fees for staking and restaking rewards. The conventional gas token for the chain will be rswETH, Swell's recently launched LRT, developed in collaboration with operators, AVS, and risk experts. Governance will be managed by SWELL tokens, alongside swETH and rswETH.

Built on Polygon's zkEVM technology on EigenDA in partnership with AltLayer, the Layer 2 rollup will be supported by Chainlink.
