The Terra Luna Classic community is voting on an important proposal to address the risks of peer-to-peer attacks on the blockchain. Developers have raised concerns about possible dangers on other platforms such as Solana, Polkadot, and Cosmos, prompting the need for measures to protect the LUNC chain from spam.

A core developer from Genuine Labs has introduced a proposal to reduce the Terra Luna Classic block size from 5 MB to 2 MB. This reduction in MaxBlockSize is expected to help mitigate peer-to-peer attacks, with strong support from the community and validators.

Jacob Gadikian of National Labs has encouraged the community to back the proposal and suggested a further reduction in block size to below 1 MB. The proposal has received overwhelming support, with over 99% of validators and community members voting in favor.

Despite facing downward pressure from the broader crypto market, LUNC and USTC have shown resilience with minor losses. LUNC has experienced a slight rebound while USTC has also maintained similar trends. However, the decreasing total value locked (TVL) for Terra Luna Classic indicates a slowdown in development activities.

Both USTC and LUNC are likely to follow the overall market trends, with experts predicting a period of consolidation leading up to the anticipated Bitcoin halving event.
