However, the court found COPA's evidence to be more convincing overall. COPA argued that the print proof of the Quill notepad was only accessible after November 2009 and that the notepad itself was not available until 2012, contradicting Wright's claims.

The judgment also addressed COPA's relief requests, which included declarations that Wright did not author the Bitcoin whitepaper and that COPA is free to use Bitcoin and the whitepaper. Lord Grabiner argued against these declarations, stating that COPA is not Satoshi and has no stake in the matter.

Additionally, Grabiner argued that even if the court finds Wright's claims to be false, it should not restrict his right to express his belief in being Satoshi Nakamoto, citing principles of free speech.
