The process of achieving transferability within the STYLE Protocol involves converting 2D assets into 3D models and customizing existing 3D models using AI and a library of base rigs specific to virtual environments like Unreal or Unity. Additionally, the protocol connects to virtual environments through an API and integrates users' existing NFTs into the platform's blockchain layer. This multi-step process involves both automated AI and manual verification by community members known as Tailors, who are compensated for their contributions in stablecoins and the platform's native token, $STYLE.

Tailors play a crucial role in the creation process by utilizing AI analysis to understand the style and color scheme of the initial 2D image before creating the 3D overlay. The resulting 3D models are then automatically rigged by APIs to ensure compatibility with the chosen virtual environment. The turnaround time and fees associated with the process vary depending on the complexity of the asset and the rendering requirements. While simpler items like sneakers may take 12 hours to convert, high-poly avatars could require up to 48 hours.

The STYLE Protocol currently supports various virtual environments, including Nifty Island, Decentraland, The Sandbox, MONA, and Spatial, with the possibility of off-chain modding for larger Web2 titles like GTA. Additionally, the platform offers an AI 3D creator tool that generates 3D design ideas from text prompts. Access to the platform's core functionality requires $STYLE tokens, with a low barrier to entry, enabling users to access basic features for as little as $10. In the future, users will have the option to stake $STYLE tokens to unlock advanced features, such as renting out their NFTs as 3D assets in other games.
