Several prominent financial institutions on Wall Street are actively considering the industrialization of proofs-of-concept generated through the blockchain experiment known as Project Guardian. Stephanie Lok, the product manager of JPMorgan's blockchain platform Onyx, disclosed that the company is particularly interested in leveraging the insights gained from the pilot program with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to develop tangible products. Speaking at the TokenizeThis event in Miami on May 10, Lok emphasized the focus on investment fund tokenization as a key area of interest for JPMorgan:

"We want to see how we can take it forward. Investment fund tokenization is where we’re really focusing a lot of our time. That’s a very big focus area: how can we kind of productionize, industrialize what we built out as a proof-of-concept?"

Another major player delving into blockchain-enabled finance migration is asset manager WisdomTree. Maredith Hannon, the head of business development for WisdomTree, elaborated on the company's objectives at the same event. Hannon outlined the goal of targeting portfolio personalization and integrating portfolios with checking accounts to create a more tailored investment experience:

"Think about if you could do 10,001 different variations of different types of allocations, different types of risk profiles."

WisdomTree is also exploring the possibilities of offering various on-chain services through a unified interface for its clients. According to Hannon, the company aims to develop an application that integrates a range of financial services, including tokenized portfolios and traditional banking services, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of utilizing funds:

"It’s just enabling those to be on-chain. Deliver that end value of being able to use your money more effectively. Being able to be in the market, in a money market fund earning 5% versus earning pretty much nothing in your checking account."

WisdomTree, a key player in the realm of Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), is actively participating in Project Guardian, alongside other major financial institutions like JPMorgan, DBS Bank, and SBI Digital Asset Holdings. Launched in May 2022, Project Guardian aims to explore the feasibility of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and asset tokenization in wholesale funding markets, focusing on developing open and interoperable networks, institutional-grade DeFi protocols, asset tokenization, and trusted infrastructure.
