The Hashgraph Association, a Swiss-based organization focused on digital enablement within the Hedera network, has joined forces with Blade Labs, a Qatar-regulated financial technology company. Their strategic partnership aims to provide innovative solutions for enterprises seeking to participate effectively in the digital economy.

Blade Labs, which has secured a fintech license from the Qatar Financial Center and been admitted to its prestigious Digital Asset Lab, will utilize its distributed ledger-based technology (DLT) to tokenize funds. This tokenization process enhances liquidity with real-time settlement, reduces operational costs, and improves collateral management.

The collaboration between The Hashgraph Association and Blade Labs comes at a time when the former is undertaking two major government-backed Venture Studio initiatives in the region. These co-investment ventures, valued at $300 million over the next five years, are designed to empower enterprises with Web3-compliant solutions.

As part of the partnership, Blade Labs will offer a conventional and Shariah-compliant Digital Securities Platform to support these investments. The company is also registering for a Financial Services Regulatory Association (FSRA) license in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) to further accelerate the adoption of digital assets within the region.

The Hashgraph Association has been actively involved in key ventures in the Middle East and GCC region. The first investment in Saudi Arabia has commenced this year, with plans to build a $250 million DeepTech Venture Studio in Riyadh, in close partnership with the Ministry of Investment Saudi Arabia (MISA).
