The Hashgraph Association (THA), a Swiss-based organization leading global digital enablement, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Qatar Financial Centre to establish a Digital Assets Venture Studio. This innovative platform aims to support local Qatari and international portfolio companies in developing regulatory-compliant decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions and digital assets on the Hedera Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) network.

The $50 million digital assets venture studio, spanning from 2024 to 2028, will focus on investments in Hedera-powered Web3 startups and enterprises creating bankable DeFi solutions. THA plans to invest $10 million (20%) in this program to foster innovation and growth in the digital asset space.

The Digital Assets Venture Studio, housed within Qatar's Digital Assets Lab at the QFC Innovation Dome, aligns with Qatar's "National Vision 2030" to accelerate research and development in the digital asset sector. This partnership will facilitate the development of legal and regulatory compliant real-world asset tokenization solutions, offering startups and SMEs training, financing, engineering support, and resources for research and development.

Yousuf Mohamed Al-Jaida, CEO of Qatar Financial Centre, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration, emphasizing its alignment with Qatar's fintech strategy and its role in positioning the country as a financial and commercial hub by 2030. Kamal Youssefi, President of The Hashgraph Association, highlighted the commitment to nurturing a vibrant Web3 and DLT/Blockchain ecosystem, particularly in decentralized finance and digital assets, in support of Qatar's innovative digital economy vision.

This strategic partnership with Qatar follows THA's previous milestones, including a $250 million DeepTech Venture Studio in Saudi Arabia. Stefan Deiss, Co-Founder & CEO of The Hashgraph Group, emphasized the launch of the Swiss/Qatari government-endorsed Digital Assets Venture Studio in Doha, aiming to empower the next generation of Web3 financial entrepreneurs by facilitating the launch of structured financial products and tokenized financial solutions.

Moreover, Switzerland, in collaboration with THA, will introduce an entrepreneur exchange program to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between entrepreneurs from Qatar and Switzerland. As part of this initiative, THA, alongside co-investment and ecosystem partners, will establish a sandbox to pilot various use cases leveraging Hedera technology, further advancing innovation in the digital asset space.
