Voters are advocating for the establishment of a constitution for MakerDAO, a cooperative decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) overseeing the protocol. The Maker Constitution serves as a strategic tool, empowering developers to exert significant influence over political and operational processes within Maker Governance.

The constitution represents a significant milestone for MakerDAO, aligning with the platform's Endgame Plan endorsed by Christensen. It provides guidance on various platform functions, including dependability, decentralization, risk factors, front-end governance, voter committees, delegates, and more.

The introduction of the Maker Constitution signifies a heightened level of detail and strategic execution for the platform's future governance, encompassing risk identification, governance framework, asset control, and more. Constitutional conservers play a pivotal role in ensuring Maker governance adheres to the procedures outlined in the Maker Constitution, enabling MKR holders to participate in governance matters.

Constitutional conservers, serving as members of the Constitutional Voter Committee and Constitutional Delegates, remain anonymous while executing their duties. Voter committees foster voting ideas, political association, and consensus-building among various voter factions.

Additionally, the Maker Constitution establishes six subDAOs, comprising two FacilitatorDAOs, two ProtectorDAOs, and two CreatorDAOs, each requiring a well-organized community. Project-based funding is allocated to provide specialized services for subDAOs, as well as for Maker core and B2B services within the ecosystem.
