On the 7th of December 2023, the Anoma Foundation launched the Namada RPGF Drop. It is expected to close on the 28th of December, 2023, at 9:00 am UTC. The Retroactive Public Goods Funding (RPGF) is poised to utilize 6.5% of the total supply of NAM, valued at 65 million.

NAM is the native currency of Namada Network, used in governance security, governance, and funding public goods. It can be used to pay fees for transactions involving any assets on Namada.

The allocation is directed towards the public contributors invested in Rust, Zcash, Privacy, ZKP, and Interchain ecosystems, rewarding them for their contributions towards consensus, bridge design, and public good funding.

Airdrop Eligibility

To be considered a public contributor, researchers must have submitted at least two commits to a huge number of the GitHub repositories specified. Detailed information about the categories and the specified allocation awarded to each can be found on Namada’s official blog.

Snapshots were taken on the 1st of November 2023 for staking, and the 14th of November 2023 for NFT holders.

Eligible participants are advised to submit their Namada genesis accounts through rpgfdrop.namada.net. Accounts that are submitted successfully will be included by the Anoma Foundation in the Namada genesis block proposal, to correspond with the claimed NAM tokens.

RPGF Drop participants will have access to their submitted accounts on the chain directly as soon as the Namada mainnet goes live.
